So, last night I went with Jeff and a bunch of our other friends up to the REAL Salt Lake game in the new stadium. It was AWESOME!!! The new stadium is just beautiful (can I say that about a sports stadium??)!! We were afraid the cars might be gone when we got back because of where we parked: The Chinese Market. They gave us printed pieces of computer paper that had the name of the market on it, and said if we put it in our windshield, we wouldn't be towed. We were all very happy when we got back after the game to realize it was true! Before the game started, Jeff and I decided we were way hungry, so went to spend half of our life in line at one of the little concession places. While in line, I decided I was going to get a Bratworst, and Jeff decided he was going to get a jumbo hot dog and hot chocolate.
The game was pretty awesome, except REAL could have played MUCH better!! We ended up tying 1-1 with the New York Red Bulls. There were like 20 people in our group, and Jeff's dad somehow ended up with a HUGE bag of tortilla chips and a HUGE bag of chicken wings in the middle of the game. Apparently
he has a knack for getting free stuff. Anyway, when I say HUGE, I mean there was plenty to go around for the 20 of us...mmmm...hot chicken tastes good when it's freezing outside. And it was FREEZING. Jeff and I were under my fuzzy/wool blanket (love that blanket!!!) I got from Wasatch when I left and every time we stood up to cheer or freak out or whatever, it t
ook forever to get warm under the blanket again.
Anyway, it was so much fun, and I would recommend it to anyone...although there is only one more game this season...the 18t
h, I believe.
Today, I also got to go visit some of my old coworkers at Wasatch Mental Health. It was so great to see people! I was sad that I didn't get to see a lot of them, as most of them were on the Lakeview activity. But it was fun to stop by and visit!
I'm headed off to the Galloway family reunion in a few hours...that should be fun. Then, tomorrow, when I get home, Jeff and I are having a Star Wars Movie Marathon! (He's making me do it...)
Anyway, better finish my Social Welfare Policy paper before I take off...blah...
