Well, I can say this much--grad school is definitely a piece of cake compared to what I thought it would be, and compared to the rest of my life, it's pretty much like vacation. I LOVE IT!!! I was chillin' with one of my professors the other day, and I was expressing my thoughts on how easy the program was and how I figured it would get harder in my second year. She told me most second years say their first year was harder. So, maybe at least in the academic sense, I'll be smooth sailing 'til April 2010. Which I'm okay with, because the rest of my life is more like trying to stay afloat on an inner tube in an ocean storm (good imagery, eh?).
So, last week, we had an AWESOME opening social for our ward up at Spring Haven Lodge, which is up Hobble Creek Canyon (a canyon of the town south of here). This place is amazing! It has a huge pond outside, and inside there is a playground, basketball court, ping pong, pool tables, dance floor, huge kitchen, etc. We had Costa Vida for dinner, and it made me super sick, so I didn't get to dance as much as I wanted to, but it was still good times!

This past Thursday, we had our internship fair for school. About 30 some companies came to interview us. I interviewed with 12 companies in about 5 hours (with a half hour lunch in there somewhere). Today I submitted my top 5 choices for spring/summer and my top 5 for fall/winter, and I guess we'll here where we will be placed like in November. All of us (my 41 classmates and I) thought it would be pretty intense, but we actually had a pretty good time and got a lot closer to each other. It's awesome to be in a program where we aren't competing against each other, but instead helping each other along.
I went on an awesome date Saturday with my friend, Jeff. We went with his five roommates and their dates to this house in Highland that was out-of-this-world!!! I kept calling it "Disneyland in a house!" This place was decked out. They had a ping pong/pool table, pinball machine, air hockey, a HUGE snack/drink bar, popcorn machine, super comfy furniture and a projector screen. Outside they had a heated pool with a slide and basketball hoop, a basketball/sports court, trampoline, and hot tub with waterfalls flowing into it. They also had a grand piano and all sorts of other amazing things. And they just let us use their house for the night...they went and chilled at one of the other guys parents' house. It was so much fun!!! We had a pretty sweet game of water basketball, which got really intense...one of the girls like broke her nose or something...but it was still awesome. We made smoothies, played games, watched Lion King. It really couldn't have been better!
I found out today that I will begin as a student therapist in about 3 weeks from now! Kinda crazy! I'll be getting my first real therapy client...not just role plays anymore.
In other news...I've also got a few games of racquetball in this month, which is nice. I'm learning to play soccer. I have still somehow found sometime to work on my book surprisingly...I'm getting closer to finishing!!! I'm super excited to watch General Conference this weekend! It's looking more and more hopeful that I'll be going to the Ukraine next September! I'm heading to the Galloway family reunion the 10th-11th, and next Friday I get to babysit my best friend's son! Life is crazy busy, crazy complicated, and so worth it!!!!
